Tirupati: TTD outsourcing, contract employees stage protest

Tirupati: Demanding the TTD management to desist from the move to take the outsourcing and contract employees working in TTD under the control of Andhra Pradesh Corporation for Outsourced Services (APCOS), the outsourced employees staged a protest before TTD administrative office and also at various TTD institutions here on Tuesday. The outsourced employees and contract employees working in various departments holding placards, raised slogans against the TTD for deciding to merge the outsourced employees with the APCOS. Outsourced employees from various department and institutions of TTD including transport, education, Press (printing), sales, BIRR, SVIMS hospitals etc. staged protest.

On the occasion, CITU district president M Nagarjuna demanded the TTD management to stop the proposal to take the outsourced and contract employees under APCOS as it is detrimental to the interest of the employees working in TTD.

TTD Contract Employees Union secretary T Subramanayam, CITU leader Lakshmi, TTD Staff and Workers United Front G Venkatesam and others took part in the protest.
