Tirupati: Virtual workshop on intellectual property begins

Tirupati: A five-day virtual workshop on "Intellectual Property Rights – Challenges and Opportunities" was kick started on Monday at Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV).

The department of Law of the varsity has organised this workshop in which former Vice Chancellor of National Law school of India, former Rector of SPMVV Prof TV Subba Rao, SPMVV Registrar Prof DM Mamatha participated as Chief guests.

The Vice Chancellor of SPMVV Prof D Jamuna, Rector Prof K Sandhya Rani and others also participated online and stressed the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) especially when vaccines and medicines for Covid are being worked out.

The speakers said that the need for IPRs is more in every field including higher education.

Head of Law department Prof NB Chandrakala, Prof T Sita Kumari, Dr Madhuri, Dr K Sunitha, Dr G Indira Priyadarsini and others also participated.
