Tirupati:1.01 lakh candidates to take Inter examinations from tomorrow

Tirupati: A total of 1,01,874 candidates in the district have registered to take the intermediate public examinations to be held from March 4 to 23. Of them 52,287 are going to write first year examinations while 49,587 write second year exams. The officials have set up 135 examination centres in Chittoor district. Junior inter examinations will commence on March 4 while exams for seniors start from March 5 and will be held on alternate days.

All arrangements were in place for the smooth conduct of examinations which will be held from 9 am to 12 noon daily. Students should reach their respective examination centres at least half an hour before the scheduled commencement of the examination.

It was learnt that this year CC cameras are being arranged in all rooms in all centres to prevent any kind of malpractices.

Apart from students, from this year the invigilators, Chief Superintendents, departmental officers and even non-teaching staff of aided, problematic and self-centres will come under jumbling system. During the time of examinations Section 144 will be in vogue at all centres. Speaking to The Hans India, Regional Inspection Officer M Krishnaiah said that, electricity department was asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the examinations. District Medical and Health department is providing one ANM at each entre. Flying squads, sitting squads and district examination committee members along with one high power committee will oversee the examinations.

Meanwhile, the Board of Intermediate education has made the hall tickets available in its website from this year which students can download without the involvement of the college managements. However, those not having the required attendance, have to pay the condonation fee to get the hall ticket.
