Training programme for APSPF conducted at Kakinada
Kakinada: Training programme for Andhra Pradesh Special Protection Force (APSPF) team was conducted in batches in Kakinada anchorage port area here on Saturday, on rescue Gemini power boats.
As part of this, training to 132 SPF staff in nine batches was taken up at Kakinada anchorage port under supervision of coach M Raju.
Speaking on this occasion, APSPF Kakinada unit DSP Sudhakar said that the very purpose of this training is to save those who accidentally fell in water by swimming, extension of first aid, boat driving, shifting of rescued to safer places and allied services.
The DSP on this occasion revealed that in the recent past the team members participated in rescue operations at Devipatnam and at Pasuvullanka in Mummidivaram mandal.
Kakinada Port officer captain Dharma Sasta, SPF inspector YV Kesava Ramu and others attended.
