Training programme on paddy purchase held in Kakinada
Kakinada: Kakinada Revenue Divisional Officer AG Chinni Krishna said that the state government was taking steps to help the farmers by giving minimum support price for their produce without involvement of mediators.
Participating in a training programme to Tahsildars, staff of Cooperative Credit Societies, Civil Supplies department and others on paddy procurement and Rythu Bharosa schemes, he said that the Velugu staff and other related personnel should purchase the paddy without creating any inconvenience to the farmers and also without any delay.
He said that the agriculture department should take steps for helping the farmers. The District Civil Supplies Officer, P Prasada Rao said that 336 paddy purchase centers will be set up for the Khariff season.
