Training programme to prevent child marriages held in Ongole
Ongole: The HELP Girls Advocacy Alliance (GAA) organised a training programme to prevent child marriages and child trafficking for the youth advocates at the Velugu Training Centre in Ongole on Friday.
The HELP GAA programme officer BV Sagar said that youth should also come forward in addressing social issues apart from scoring good grades in education.
The GAA coordinator NVS Murthy said that youth should utilise the knowledge gained in the training programmes to bring the issues of children to the notice of government officials and community heads and see them resolved.
The DRDA job department manager G Krishna Kumari said that youth should bring good name and respect to the family and society but not waste time by indulging in other activities.
The trainers Uma Mallika and Srivani also participated in the programme along with the youth members.
