Tree axed for Pydithalli festival in Vizianagaram

Vizianagaram: The authorities of Pydithalli temple and local leaders have axed a tree for Sirimanu of Pydithalli festival. On Monday, chief priest Bantupalli Venkatarao and Executive Officer S Subrahmanyam participated in the ceremony held in a grand way.

The devotees believe that the gaiety Paidi Thalli appears in the dream of B Venkatarao and indicates where the tree is located. As per the indications, the temple authorities and public would go to the tree and it will be cut and shifted the trunk into the Vizianagaram town to carve it as Sirimanu. As per the gaieties indication, the tree is located in Ramavaram village of Gantyada mandal of Vizianagaram district.

The tree is in the farm of G Appala Raju. On Monday, the officials and locals have visited the tree and offered poojas and cut the tree.

Huge number of people participated in the programme. Even the owner of the tree also feels proud and it is a great opportunity for them to offer their tree to Goddess Pydithalli.

The mega event Sirimanu Sambaram would be held on October 15. On the occasion of tree cutting ceremony, family members of P Ashoka Gajapathiraju and senior leader P Sambasivaraju participated.
