Tribal girls secure employment through ‘Prerana’

Paderu (ASR District): As part of community policing in Alluri Sitarama Raju district, a special recruitment programme was organised for unemployed tribal women for the jobs of Technical Assistant in Tata Electronics at Chintapalli on Tuesday.

 opportunities to the tribal youth of the district.

The recruitment programme was organised under the auspices of ‘Prerana’ in collaboration with the Prashanthi Educational Society. SP said that these recruitment rallies are being held in four places across the district for technical assistant jobs in Tata Electronics.

A rally was taken out at Chintapalli on Tuesday. It was decided to hold it at Paderu on February 8 in Rampachodavaram on 10th and in Yetapaka on February 12th. The SP said that they have spread awareness about these job opportunities in tribal villages through posters and banners.

Interviews were conducted on Tuesday at Chintapalli YTC. Additional SP K Pratap Siva Kishore said that 450 women from Chinthapalli, GK Veedhi, and Koyyuru mandals attended, and 400 of them were selected.

As many as 74 women selected in last year’s recruitment process are currently working in Tata Electronics, he said. All the selected candidates will be working in Tata iPhone manufacturing units in Hosur town and will get a salary of Rs 18,000 per month along with allowances.

Tribal youth are asked to take advantage of these programmes being conducted under the auspices of community policing.
