Tributes paid to Dr BR Ambedkar

Vijayawada: Floral tributes were paid to portrait of Dr BR Ambedkar on his 128th birth anniversary by IIIT Nuzvid vice-chancellor V Ramchandra Raju and register Gangaiah on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, Ramchandra Raju said that Ambedkar was an international renowned personality and all the Indians should be proud.

He recalled various initiatives taken by Ambedkar for the welfare of the people. Ambedkar fought against untouchability and for financial stability. IIIT Nuzvid director D Suryachander Rao, administration officer T Sunil Bhagat, Dean Academics B Prasad, PRO Pavani, Srikakulam IIIT director Hara Sriramulu, administration officer Maidhili, Dean Academics Bhanu Kiran and PRO Somi Babu were present.
