Tirupati: TTD forest employees on Monday staged a dharna at Forest Office demanding time scale for 362 employees working in the department.

They also opposed TTDs move to take the employees working in the TTD Forest department to Andhra Pradesh Corporation for Outsourced Service (APCOS). Addressing the gathering, CITU district general secretary K Murali demanded the TTD management to agree for time scale to the 362 employees working the forest department. He also criticised the TTD move to provide special allowance and facilities to 150 employees only and to bring the remaining under the control of APCOS.

This move was unjust and intends to divide the employees, he said reiterating the employees demand for time scale.

In this connection, he said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy when he was in Opposition assured to give time scale to all employees working on contract and outsourced basis in TTD but failed to fulfill his promise even after completion of one-year in office.

He said that the forest employees would stage dharna before the TTD administrative office on May 27 if the TTD failed to conceded the demand of forest employees by May 26.

TTD employees union leaders M Nagarjuna and others also spoke.
