TTD invites Tamil Nadu CM E K Palaniswami for Bhumipuja of Padmavati temple in Chennai

Tirupati: TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy, along with TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal, called on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E K Palaniswami at his office on Sunday to invite him for Bhumipuja for the construction of Sri Padmavathi temple in Chennai, scheduled on April 9.

Speaking to media persons later, the Chairman said that several other pending issues relating to TTD have also been discussed with the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.

He said that in another case, TTD has requested TN government to allot 11 acres of land on the OMR-ICR Road for developing Sri Venkateswara Divya Kshetram, Kalyana mandapam and an Information Centre.

Similarly, TTD chairman said a decision on the construction of Sri Venkateswara temple at Ulundurupettai, as requested by local MLA will be taken up after discussing the issue with AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

It may be noted here the required land for the temple construction was already donated by the local MLA and TTD trust board member Kumara Guru and local devotees also expressed willingness to raise a donation of Rs.10 crore towards the construction of temple as a token of their share to enable TTD take up the construction early. The TTD chairman also appealed TN Chief Minister to grant taxexemption for all TTD construction activities in Tamil Nadu as TTD is a religious and charitable institution conducting all dharmic activities as per the AP Endowment Act.

TTD trust board special invitee Sekhar Reddy was also present.
