TTD outsourced employees stage massive protest

Tirupati: The outsourced employees working in TTD staged a massive protest against the TTD management move to bring them under the control of Andhra Pradesh Corporation for Outsourced Services (APCOS) at TTD administrative office here on Wednesday.

The outsourced employees and contract employees from various departments and TTD institutions including transport, education, printing press, sales, SVIMS, SV Ayurvedic College and BIRRD hospital joined in the protest.

CITU leaders from the district also took part in the protest expressing the trade union support to the employees fighting to press the TTD withdraws its decision to merge the outsourced employees with APCOS.

CITU district general secretary and TTD contract employees' union honorary president K Muraliict and CITY Chittoor district East president M Nagarjuna appealed to the TTD to withdraw its trust board decision to take the employees under the control of APCOS, as the contract and outsourced employees have been rendering dedicated services to the pilgrims.

They also sought the TTD to fulfill the promise made by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who as opposition leader assured to give time scale to the outsourced and contract employees if his party comes to power.

TTD Contract Employees Union secretary T Subramanayam, TTD Staff and Workers United Front leader G Venkatesam said there was no need for the TTD to take the employees under the control of APCOS as there is no dearth of funds for TTD.
