TTD resumes Laddu sales in Tirupati

Tirupati: After 55 days lockdown gap Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has resumed its Prasadam sales in Tirupati at TTD administrative building on a trial basis. For this special counter was set up by the officials in AD building near employees canteen.

As part of this trial, TTD started Kalyanostvam laddu (big laddu) Rs 200 and Vada Rs 100 sales from Friday. Officials decided to sale big laddus and vada 500 each per day. Locals anyone can get this laddu, vada prasadm at TTD ad building during working hours.

Actually, for the last 55 days, TTD has been making 51 big laddus for Srivari Nivedyam in Tirumala temple. From Thursday they have started making 500 big laddus. This practice may continue till the lockdown revoke.

On Friday total 500 big laddus and vada was sold out in the first hour. Later they closed the counter.

During the lockdown, all the potu (laddu making kitchen) workers were taken rest and stopped the laddu making, so bring back the normalcy in potu work TTD has to begin making of big laddu and vada for sales.

Will be in future gradually officials would increase laddu making capacity in Tirumala temple after revoking the Lockdown.
