TTD sells 2.4 lakh Laddu Prasadams within three hours across the state
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam temple has made the Laddu Prasadam available across the state. It is reported that as many as 2.4 lakh laddus have been sold in just three hours on Monday. The TTD has made laddus available in 12 districts except Guntur. The police did not allow the sale of laddus in Guntur as it was declared as the red zone. This led the devotees who desperately seeking laddu prasadam to return with empty hands.
However, it is said that the Laddu Prasadam would be sold in Guntur from 30th of this month. Another 2 lakh laddus will be shifted to district centers tomorrow. There are also requests from Tamil Nadu and Telangana devotees for laddus. With this, TTD plans to shift 50 thousand laddus to Tamil Nadu and Telangana. Meanwhile, TTD centres located in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad are awaiting approval from the state governments for the inter-state transportation of laddus. TTD will resume supply of laddus once it gets the approval.
The TTD board has decided to sell the laddus at all Kalyana Mandapam in the districts at 50% discount rates till the commencement of Srivari darshan.
