TTD to convene first ever video conference supported board meeting today

With a political row over the sale of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam lands, the TTD trust board members are scheduled to meet today over the issue. The meeting will be held for the first time via video conference during the lockdown. It remains to be seen what decision TTD would take on the sale of temple lands.

Despite the lockdown, the TTD Board, which had to hold a meeting every three months as per the norms has scheduled the meeting today. Board members in other areas who could not attend directly are allowed to attend the meeting via the Cisco WebX App. The TTD IT department has completed the arrangements while TTD chairman YV. Subba Reddy, EO Anil Kumar Singhal, board members Karunakar Reddy and Chevi Reddy Bhaskar Reddy will attend the meeting.

The agenda was made up on a total of 60 items at the TTD Board Meeting. It discusses about the construction work and contracts to be undertaken in Tirumala. In addition, the meeting is likely have a discussion on land sales and auditing of jewelery. On the other hand, it would discuss over the government's suggestion to take the views of the Swamijis and the devotees over sale of lands.
