Two Covid-19 suspect cases filed at Tirupati RUIA hospital
Tirupati: The Coronavirus (Covid-19) i gripping its fear as the suspect cases are raising in two Telugu states. So far, one positive case has been registered in Hyderabad, and in AP, nearly 20 suspects samples were sent to the lab.
With the virus symptoms, patients queue at the hospital is increasing across the state for which the government has already released Rs 200 crore.
Recently, two foreigners have been admitted into isolation ward at Tirupati RIUA hospital with Covid-19 symptoms. Hospital Superintendent Dr NV Ramanaiah has said that one of the patients have come from Kuwait and another from the Netherlands. "These are only suspected cases as of now, and their health condition is stable. Doctors have been providing treatment at the special isolation ward", he averred.
As the testing facility is now available at SVIMS hospital in Tirupati itself, the samples have been sent to there and need not be sent to Hyderabad or Pune. As per the minimum time, the reports on their samples may reach by Saturday evening. The superintendent has advised that if anyone come from foreign countries, it would be better if they undergo screening tests.
"Also, nobody should enter into an isolation ward. As cold and cough are infectious diseases, precautions are a must. While going in crowded places handkerchiefs or masks should be used", Dr Ramanaiah maintained.
