Two groups allegedly try to sell Bavaji Matham lands in Srikakulam dist
Srikakulam: Two different groups are trying to sell lands belonging to Bavaji Matham in Srikakulam district. There are a total of 10 acres of land at Thotada village under Amudalavalasa mandal. The price of these land has increased manifold as they are near to Srikakulam city. As per rules and regulations these lands are not alienable and government imposed ban on them.
But the pontiff of the Bavaji Matham, Phalahari Mahanti Raghuveerdas, has allegedly entered into sale agreements with Ippili Anjaneya Prasad, Reddy Chiranjivi, K Durga Srinivas and Sanapala Srinivasa Rao to sell seven acres land through his agents. Another four persons T Vinod, K Purusottama Rao alias PapaRao, K Tirupati Rao alias Pappu and V Praveen Kumar formed as a group and allegedly started efforts to sell the remaining three acres.
Against this backdrop, a dispute reportedly arose between agents and T Vinod group. Both groups lodged complaints with the Amudalavalasa police against each other. On the other hand, some of the persons approached court and filed a civil suit on these lands, which is pending at Srikakulam court.
Meanwhile, Vinod group allegedly resorted help of Amudalavalasa claimed the support of the YSRCP leaders. But the leaders denied that they have supported any group.
