Two more low pressure likely in Bay of Bengal in next week, AP to receive heavy rains again
Another threat looms over Andhra Pradesh as the impact of cyclone Nivar continues. The meteorological department has forecasted another low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal on November 29. Extreme levels of flood danger were announced in at least two places. Authorities say two more cyclones are expected in December with one named Burevi cyclone which is expected to take place in South Bay of Bengal on December 2 while the other one Taketi cyclone expected in the central Bay of Bengal on December 5. It is expected to have a severe impact on southern Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Nivar, on the other hand, continues to have an impact on AP across the coast. Nivar continues to be furious and will weaken into low pressure in the next 6 hours. At present it is 30 km west-southwest of Tirupati and 115 km west-northwest of Chennai. As a result, winds of 55-75 kmph are blowing across Chittoor, Kadapa and Nellore districts.
The weather forecast is that the Nivar effect will lessen gently by Friday evening. The weather conditions for the next two days will be as follows such as light to moderate rains are expected in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Nellore, Chittoor, Kadapa, Anantapur and Kurnool districts on Friday (27-11-2020). Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts are likely to receive heavy to moderate rains on Saturday (28-11-2020). Light showers expected at several places in Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari and Rayalaseema.
