UBI conducts meet to review performance of branches in Nellore

Nellore: Union Bank of India (UBI) has conducted a meeting in city on Saturday on consultative and ideation process at the regional level with the branch managers.

Officials, who addressed the meeting said that the aim of the consultative process is to understand performance of the branches and opportunities available in the respective command areas.

The special areas of discussions were initiatives required for doubling income of the farmers, enhancing the credit to small business houses, empower women and SC/ST entrepreneurs, Jal Shakti, support for blue and green economy, and credit to Swacchtha related issues.

The bank has 187 branches across the State and 60 are under Nellore region, officials informed. Branches in Nellore have extended credit aggregating to Rs 181.7 crore under MUDRA, YOJNA, and Rs 223 crore under agriculture and allied activities.

Field General Manager (GM) from Bengaluru B Srinivasa Rao, Nellore Regional Head SR Manivannan, heads of 60 branches spread across 6 districts were present.
