Uma flays Ministers for using derogatory language against TDP leaders
Vijayawada: Former Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao took a strong exception to the comments of Ministers that the TDP would be locked in cold storage if Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy wants to do so.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Sunday, he questioned the Ministers as to what would be the fate of Y S Jagan if the CBI begins action on his disproportionate assets cases. He said the Ministers were making derogatory comments against the TDP leaders following the instructions of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The TDP leaders questioned the State government on the delay in the implementation of the quality of rice supply. In response, Minister for Civil supplies Kodali Nani abused the leaders of Telugu Desam using un-Parliamentary language, Uma said.
He alleged that the Chief Minister had instructed the Ministers to criticise the TDP leaders using vulgar language. The former Minister said Jagan was in a state of frustration as cases pertaining to disproportionate assets were pending against him.
Uma pointed out that the TDP had faced a crisis in the past also and the party leaders would not get frightened by the threatening remarks from the Ministers. He said the people of the State were observing the attitude of the Ministers and Chief Minister.
The State government was neglecting the requests of people to withdraw its decision to introduce English medium in government schools, he lamented. Majority of people were requesting the State government to protect the mother tongue, he said. The State government was changing the contractors for various projects with political vendetta, he alleged.
