Under construction water tank slab collapsed

Tirupati: One building worker died and another three were injured in an under-construction water tank slab collapsed incident on Saturday here at Municipal Park. Slab was collapsed when the workers putting concrete. In the incident, Bachu (20) hailing from West Bengal state died on the spot and another three workers were injured. After receiving the information immediately rescue team rushed to spot and rescued three workers from under the collapsed building materials. Deceased worker body sent to postmortem.

The incident took place when the centering sticks were slipped from its standing position. Tirupati Alipiri Police has registered an accident case. Municipal Commissioner PS Girisha has also order for departmental probe on this incident. According to officials information this water tank is constructing under AMRUTH scheme.

While District Administration has announced Rs three lakhs compensation to deceased Bachu family. In rescue activities, YSRCP MLA Buman Karunakar Reddy son Buman Abhinaya Reddy and other locals were actively involved.
