Use tech to improve skills, students told Maris Stella College

Vijayawada: The UG and PG departments of Commerce and Management Studies of Maris Stella College organised Luminate 2K19 at the college auditorium here on Friday. Chief guest B Hari, assistant commissioner of GST addressed the students. He told them to be self-esteemed and self-disciplined and not to postpone things.

Students can make use of technology to improve their skills and not to spoil their career, he said. The college principal Dr Jasintha Quadras in her welcome address said that by organising the events students would get exposure. Luminate is a forum for exchanging innovative ideas, she said.

Dr Sarvani, HoD, department of commerce and management explained the theme of conducting the event. Correspondent Sr Sleeva welcomed the gathering at the event. Swetha, alumni of the college shared her experiences as a student and also as faculty. She said that the college showed her the way to build up her confidence levels to know the value of life.

Events like Qriosity, Pacesetters, Market Kshetra, Fashion Bash, Firegroovers, TikTok were conducted. About 100 students from various colleges participated in the event. Dr Sarvani, Dr Kanaka Durga, Bhagyalakshmi and UG/PG and other commerce lecturers and students were present in the programme.
