Velugu staff suspended for swindling money

Nellore, June 16: An Assistant Project Manager and a community coordinator were suspended in Kovur for allegedly misappropriating Rs. 6.20 lakh funds of various schemes meant for women development under Velugu. Project Director of District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) JV Murali issued proceedings on Saturday.

Assistant Project Manager Sujatha and Community Coordinator Mamatha have been placed under suspension till inquiry on the swindling of money is over. Further, area coordinator Kamakshi was also asked to report at the Nellore headquarters office. The issue came to fore when group leaders of Pothireddypalem lodged a complaint with the District Collector on the misuse of money from their Federation.
