11 more held in group clash

Vijayawada: The city police arrested 11 more accused in connection with the group clash, which claimed one life recently. Thota Sandeep died in the incident.

Two groups belonging to Thota Sandeep and Manikantha alias Pandu clashed with iron rods, knives and other sharp weapons in Patamata recently over the dispute broke out in a property settlement deal. The police arrested the 11 accused and followers of Sandeep.

Speaking to media here on Monday, Deputy Commissioner of Police V Harshavardhan stated that the dispute was related to a property settlement deal and one Thota Sandeep was died in the clash. He said some rowdy sheeters, workers of Auto Nagar, an engineering and an MBA graduate were involved in the group clash in Patamata.

It may be recalled that the police had already arrested 13 accused belonging to Pandu gang recently. Thota Sandeep succumbed to injuries in the deadly clash.

The police immediately swung into action and collected information of all gang members and arrested 11 members. The DCP warned that the anti-social elements will be dealt with iron hand.

Following are the members of the gang: Thota Jagadish alias Balu, Chinna Gudi, Penamaluru. Mekatoti Kiran Kumar, rowdy-sheeter in Mangalagiri. Akurati Venkata Sia Raghunath, rowdy-sheeter, Mangalagiri.

P Vijay Prasad, painter, Mangalagiri. Yerramasetti Ramu alias Nathianel, Relli colony, Patamata. Kandela Sivarama Krishna alias Buddha, Penamaluru (MBA graduate). Boda Siva, Lambadipeta, one town (B Tech graduate).

Kanna Suneel, Tadigadapa and worker in Auto Nagar. Chinta Sambasiva Rao, Patamata and worker in Auto Nagar. Chandaram Nitin, alias Sai, Patamata. Real estate broker, Hyderabad and Jakka Ratna Sai, RR Gardens, Patamata and sales executive in automobile company.
