Vijayawada: 57,652 students to appear for SSC exams

Vijayawada: District Collector Mohammad Imtiaz has asked the officials to work in coordination for the successful conduct of SSC public examinations from March 23 to April 8. He conducted a review meeting with officials here on Tuesday and asked them to complete the arrangements as early as possible. He said 57,652 students studying in 1006 schools were going to appear for the examination. Of the total, 55,800 students are regular students and 852 are private students. He said 279 examination centres will be arranged in the district and basic facilities like drinking water, power, benches are to be provided. A total of 3150 invigilators and route officers, 22 flying squads, 14 chief superintendents, 279 department officers are being appointed for the SSC examinations.

Imtiaz said the examination timings are from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm. He asked the Transco department officials to ensure the uninterrupted power supply to the schools and arrange first aid facilities. He said Section 144 would be in force and all Xerox centres near the examination centres will remain closed during the examination. District Revenue Officer A Prasad, DEO MV Rajyalaxmi, RIO P Ravi Kumar, DMHO TRS Murthy and officials from Transco and other departments attended the meeting.
