Vijayawada: 6 more hospitals getting ready to treat coronavirus patients

Vijayawada: Central Covid-19 committee members Dr Vivek Adish and Dr Ruchi Gelang met District Collector Md Imtiaz here on Tuesday and discussed the measures being taken by the district administration to contain the spread of coronavirus.

As part of the State-wide tour, they visited Vijayawada. Collector Imtiaz has explained that two Covid-19 hospitals were treating the Covid-19 patients in Vijayawada and Gannavaram and so far 346 positive cases were reported in Krishna district and 182 persons discharged from the hospitals.

Imtiaz told the Central committee members that 41 containment zones were created in the district and 20 of them are located in Vijayawada city alone.

He said 1,105 ICU beds, 281 supporting beds and 117 ventilators were arranged in two Covid-19 treatment hospitals and another six hospitals will be ready very soon for the treatment of Coronavirus infected persons.
