Vijayawada: APJAC State Council meet tomorrow
Vijayawada: APJAC Amaravati decided to discuss very important issues like scrapping of Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), implementation of 11th Pay Revision Commission (PRC), health cards, increase of retirement age for the Class IV employees from 60 to 62 years and other subjects in the third annual state level council meeting to be held at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram at 10 am on February 8 here.
APJAC Amaravati, formed three years ago, is one of the biggest state government employees associations in the state. JAC chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu and general secretary T V Phani Perraju, speaking to media at the AP Revenue Services office here on Thursday, said the third council meeting would discuss several issues related to the employees. They said Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, ministers Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao (Nani), Vellampalli Srinivas, Perni Nani and Vijayawada central MLA Malladi Vishnu were invited for the meeting and leaders of the JAC from 13 districts and representatives of 94 unions will attend. They said a huge rally would be taken out from Lenin centre from 9.30 am up to Tummalapalli Kalakshetram.
The leaders said new council committee would be elected because the existing committee completed its three-year tenure and election officers were also appointed to conduct the elections.
