Vijayawada: APNGOs seek full salary for May

Vijayawada: The AP Non Gazetted Officers Association (APNGOs) leaders A Vidya Sagar and Md Iqbal requested the state government to pay the full salary for the month of May in June and release the 50 per cent dues of March and April months.

In a press release on Tuesday, the APNGOs leaders said the employees could not get full salary for two consecutive months as the government had paid only 50 per cent of the gross salary. They reminded that the employees have paid Income Tax for the month of February and could not get full salary in March, 2020 and faced many financial problems. They said the state government increased the contribution to health scheme from Rs 90-125 to Rs 225 to Rs 300 but now is asking them to pay the dues from December 2019 amid salary cuts and financial crisis.

They appealed to the government to provide all medical facilities to the employees in the hospitals and implementation of cashless treatment in view of the increasing the contribution for health scheme. They also requested permission for employees of the state to get treatment and medical facilities in Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka too.

Meanwhile, AP JAC, Amaravati, the JAC of employees, workers, teachers and the retired employees association, also made the same request.
