Vijayawada: APSSDC bags best skill State award
Vijayawada: Challa Madhusudhan Reddy, Chairman, Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) appreciated the efforts of the officers and staff for bagging the gold medal award from the Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) as the best skill state in the country. .Addressing the media here on Friday, the chairman Reddy informed that the national prestigious award was received by Dr Ravi Gujjula (CGM Technical ) and Dhenuka Nayak (Sr Manager) at Skill India Summit Awards from Union Minister Raj Kumar Singh at New Delhi.
He hailed the services of the APSSDC officials and staff and said that within 6 months of the period after YSRCP forming the government in the state, only APSSDC developed skills among the youth which was noticed by the jury of ASSOCHAM.
Azra Srikanth said that they aimed to give skill training to about 10 lakh youth in the state for the year 2019-2020 and to provide appointments for 10 lakh youth by 2024. He further said that the ASSOCHAM award has increased their responsibility and he assures that they will maintain the same quality of training for the coming years also.
G Anantharam informed that the government is planning to establish a Skill Knowledge University and Skill Knowledge colleges at all the parliamentary constitutes in the state.
