Vijayawada: Awareness programme on coronavirus held

Vijayawada: An awareness programme was organised at the Social Service Centre, Gunada on the dreaded disease coronavirus, which has become a pandemic. The priests and devotees offered special prayers to check the spread of corona. Vijayawada Bishop T Joseph Rajarao, Social Services Centre director Father P Thomas, priests, fathers and devotees attended the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Bishop Raja Rao said Pope in Rome also conducted special prayers to check the spread of coronavirus, which has acquired dangerous proportions and threatening to engulf the entire world. He has appealed to the people to take the necessary precautionary measures to check the spread of virus and follow the suggestions given by the doctors. He said that they should wash their hands frequently with soap or sanitizers and wear facial masks. People should keep their surroundings clean and tidy, he added.
