Vijayawada: Best Hospital has performed Complex spinal deformity surgery

Vijayawada: Best Hospital has performed a rare surgery on a 11-year-old girl Kirti Swaroopa of Hanuman Junction in Krishna district and helped her to do her daily activities normally. The girl was suffering from severe spinal deformity and back pain.

She visited the Best Hospital and was offered Soliosis Correction Surgery by Dr GPV Subbaiah (chief spine surgeon, CARE, Hyderabad). Best Hospital surgeon and chief consultant Dr GPV Subbaiah said the girl can do her daily routine work from the next day.

Similarly, a knee replacement operation was successfully performed in the same hospital. K Bharathi (58) from Guntur visited Best Hospital with severe bilateral degenerated knees.

After special tests, she was found to be allergic to nickel by Dr Udaya Sarvani (dermatologist). Use of Cobalt chromium alloy implant was avoided and surgery performed with titanium-Niobium Nitride (gold knee) by Dr K Pavan Kumar & Dr K Santosh Krishna in this special metal hypersensitivity case. Post operative care was given by Dr Sriteja.

Chief administrator Dr Dileep Kumar informed the media that the woman was discharged and there was no complication after surgery.
