Vijayawada Central to become model constituency: Babu Rao

Vijayawada: CPM Central Assembly constituency candidate Ch Babu Rao said that they would develop the Central constituency as model one. Interacting with the media at 'Meet the Press' programme held at Press Club here on Saturday, he said that the ruling TDP and Opposition YSR Congress have failed to resolve the problems in the city.

Asking people to decide which kind of people they want--illegal liquor businessmen or land grabbers, he said the candidates of both the TDP and YSRC have background of illegal activities and were now making plans by using all efforts to win the elections. He said that he had been working hard for solving the problems of people with sincerity.

Though the TDP and YSR Congress candidates already worked as MLAs in the past, he said still several areas of constituency did not witness any progress. He also said the city did not get any notable development as per expectations.

He lamented the city lost prominence during the last five years and added that several development works including metro rail and city courts construction did not get any progress. He said the government did not take up establishment of any permanent structures, infrastructure and for improving amenities in the city. He said the people have lost confidence that they could protect their lands.
