Vijayawada: CID conducts raids on houses of TDP leaders, their associates

Vijayawada: CID officials on Saturday conducted raids on the residences of some TDP leaders and their close associates in Krishna district in connection with the alleged involvement in inside trading in the capital Amaravati.

According to souces, the CID police conducted a raid on the residence of TDP leader and former Market Yard Chairman N Lakshminarayana at Kanchikacharla. When Lakshminarayana and his family members were not present at home, the CID officials pasted a notice on the wall of the building.

It may be recalled that the CID is investigating into the cases relating to alleged inside trading that took place in previous TDP regime in Amaravati. The CID has been conducting raids on the houses of the TDP leaders at various placesto unearth the scandal.

Lakshmi Narayana's son Dammalapati Srinivas was Advocate General in the TDP government. There were many allegations that some TDP senior leaders had purchased lands on benami names.

Some of those buyersare white cardholdersin Amaravati. The CID officials also conducted raids on the houses of the followers of TDP leaders and former Ministers at Patamata in Vijayawada city.
