Vijayawada: CITU state Mahasabha on Dec 15

Vijayawada: CITU state president V Umamaheswara Rao appealed to all the employees and workers across the State to attend the three-day 15th Andhra Pradesh State Mahasabha as part of the golden jubilee celebration which is scheduled to commence at Nellore on December 15. A wall poster was released in this regard.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that there is a decline in the financial growth in the country under BJP rule. He said that lakhs of people lost employment due to closure of industries.

He alleged that Prime Minister Modi government was giving subsides to corporate businessmen and denying welfare schemes to government workers. He said the Central government was benefiting corporate companies by amending labour laws in their favour.

He demanded that the government provide minimum wages to SC/ST community workers which would benefit about 50 lakh workers across the country. He appealed to all the labour organisations to take part in the nation-wide protest on January 8.

State leaders K Swarooparani, K Umamaheswara Rao, K Bhanalakshmi, MV Sudhakar and others were present.
