Vijayawada: Collector Mohammad Imtiaz pays tributes to Mahatma Gandhi

Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector Mohammad Imtiaz called upon the people to emulate the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi to promote peace and harmony in society and recalled the important role played by Mahatma Gandhi in the freedom struggle.

He paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of the 72nd death anniversary at the community centre in Rajiv Nagar on Thursday.

District Medical and Health officer Dr JDY Kameswara Prasad, additional DMHO TSR Murthy and other officials present on the occasion.

The collector said Gandhi had strived for the progress, unity and integrity of the nation with ideals. He said Gandhi had taught us how to spread the message of love and harmony among the people.
