Vijayawada: Complete enumeration on crop damage by Dec 10, Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy tells officials

Vijayawada: District in-charge and Panchayat Raj minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy has directed the officials to ensure that all farmers who suffered crop loss due to heavy rains and cyclone must get compensation.

He participated in District Review Committee (DRC) meeting at the irrigation office here on Monday. Machilipatnam MP Bala Shouri, MLAs, district collector Md Imtiaz and other officials attended the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Peddireddy said the farmers suffered huge loss due to heavy rains in the district and compensation should be paid as per the norms. He further instructed the officials to complete the enumeration by December 10 and send report to the concerned officials.

He asked the joint collectors to speak to the agriculture officials and ensure that the enumeration should be completed and compensation should be paid to all farmers, who suffered crop damages. Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Nani has assured the farmers that the government would pay the compensation without fail. Endowments Minister Velampalli Srinivas instructed the officials of the VMC to complete the storm water drain works.

MLAs Malladi Vishnu, K Parthasarathy, Jogi Ramesh, Samineni Udayabhanu, Vallabhaneni Vamsi, MLCs K Lakshmana Rao and others attended the DRC meeting.
