Vijayawada: CPI demands Jagan to reveal outcome of his Delhi tour
Vijayawada: CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna demanded that the Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy inform the people on the outcome of his Delhi tour.
Addressing media at the state part office here on Wednesday, Ramakrishna alleged the Union government had betrayed the people of Andhra Pradesh on the Special Category Status and wondered why Jagan was not strongly demanding the Union government for SCS and other promises made to the state.
The CPI leader said Jagan was telling only what he had asked the Centre but not revealing what home minister Amit Shah had assured to the people of state.
Stating that former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu also went to Delhi 29 times but there was no use, he observed that the situation would repeat.
Ramakrishna wanted to know the stand of the Central government on Polavaram project, R and R package, release of funds for the development of backward districts in the state, Kadapa steel plant, petro chemical complex in Kakinada, construction of port and other assurances made in the AP Re-organisation Act.
He recalled that Jagan Mohan Reddy had assured the people of Andhra Pradesh that he would fight for the SCS if YSRCP was given 25 Lok Sabha seats.
He criticised Jagan's pleading tone in demanding SCS and other dues to the state.
