Vijayawada: Environment Excellence award for Takshasila MD B S N Durga Prasad

Vijayawada: Managing Director of Takshasila IAS Academy B S N Durga Prasad has received Environment Excellence Award-2019 for his active participation in Swachh Bharat and other environmental promotion programmes.

The award was presented to him at a function in Ambedkar Hall of Andhra Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday. Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy was the guest of honour at the function hosted by the Vay Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, known for its commitment to protect environment and cleanliness.

Kakinada MP Vanga Geetha, Araku MP Goddeti Madhavi and Anantapur MP Gorantla Madhav also attended as chief guests.

The three MPs presented the award to Takshasila Prasad during the Indian Environmental Summit 2019. The MPs lauded the philanthropic and social service activities of the Takshashila IAS Academy which is carving a niche in Civil service coaching in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking on the occasion, Vanga Geetha stressed on the need to arrest the global warming which is threatening the human existence by planting more saplings. Students of Takshasila IAS Academy have been actively participating in social service activities like planting saplings, promoting cleanliness and clearing garbage.
