Vijayawada: Golden Dragon Food Festival at Gateway from today
Vijayawada: The first five-star hotel in the city the Gateway Hotel is organising the Golden Dragon Food Festival at its Chinese restaurant Bay Leaf from Friday, according to its sales manager Vijay Kumar.
He said that Golden Dragon is famed for its Cantonese and Sichuan cuisines in the mainland China. The Gateway is introducing authentic Chinese cuisines ranging from butter chilli garlic prawns, the hand crafted noodles or the clay-baked Beggar's Chicken, he said.
Moreover, the food festival is also offering a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes to enjoy the evenings with the friends and family. He said that Chef Prashant under the guidance of Gateway Chef Shreedhar has created an innovative menu bringing together all the traditional Chinese flavours.
Referring to the specialties, he said that non-vegetarian dishes like Jiang Jing chicken, Konjee crispy lamb, Wok fried fish and vegetarian dishes like silken tofu with soya onion and fresh chilly, crispy shun in sweet bean chilli and friend vegetable wanton, Mapo tofu with vegetables, pan friend Cantonese noodles among others.
As the name suggests, the Gold Dragon dish cooked with sea lobster is the main attraction in the festival, he said. In addition there are a number of deserts and choice of ice creams.
According to him, the food would be served on a la carte basis between 7.30 pm and 23.30 pm.
He appealed to the citizens to enjoy the Gold Dragon Food festival every day from Friday.
