This project will include intangible benefits of increase in production rate in MSMEs due to reduction in power stoppage time and reduction in technical losses in the system.

During the webinar conducted by APSECM in co-ordination with Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry led National Productivity Council (NPC) along with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Hyderabad, Secretary for Energy Srikant Nagulapalli discussed with representatives of NPC and Professors of IIT on modalities to introduce the IoT enabled device in industries.

Officials of National Productivity Council said that the revolutionary step taken by APSECM would become a model to the entire MSME sector in the country. They explained that the IoT enabled power control device would bring energy efficiency through IoT.

The device supports real-time monitoring of various electrical parameters and gives useful alerts to the customers' email or mobile allowing them for reactive and proactive maintenance of electric supply within the plant.

N Srikanth participating in the webinar said the government waived the power demand charges of Rs 188 crore of the MSME sector. In addition to the above, MSMEs will benefit with IoT linked energy efficiency technology.
