Vijayawada: IPS officers get promotions

Vijayawada: The state government issued orders for the promotion of some IPS officers in the State. Two officers were promoted as Additional Director General of police. Chief Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh Nilam Sawhney issued the orders in this regard on Saturday.

Two IPS officers Atul Singh (RR 1995) (Central deputation) and R K Meena, of 1995 batch have been empanelled for promotion to the above super time scale of IPS in the rank of Additional Director General of police.

Similarly four IPS officers of the 2002 batch empanelled for the promotion in the rank of Inspector General of police. Ch Srikanth, 2002 batch IPS officer, AS Khan, 2002 batch officer, J Prabhakar Rao and D Nagendra Kumar have been empanelled for promotion of in the rank of Inspector General of police in level 14.

As many as 11 IPS officers belong to 2006 IPS batch were elevated to the deputy inspector General of police.

Dr Kolli Raghuram Reddy, Ake Ravi Krishna, Sarvashresth Tripathi, R Jayalakshmi, GVG Ashok Kumar, G Vijay Kumar, S Hari Krishna, M Ravi Prakash, S V Rajasekhar Babu, KV Mohan Rao and PHD Ramakrishna.

Finally, IPS officer B Raja Kumari, of 2007 batch empanelled and promoted to Selection Grade in Level 13. She is the superintendent of police Vizianagaram.
