Vijayawada: Karem Shivaji flays Pawan Kalyan over English medium

Vijayawada: Floral tributes were paid to Dr BR Ambedkar at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram here on Friday, to mark his 63rd death anniversary. Speaking to the media on the occasion, Andhra Pradesh state SC/ST Commission chairman Dr Karem Shivaji hailed the action taken by the Telangana state police in Disha murder case.

He recalled that Dr Ambedkar has brought tough law to protect women and was presented in the parliament as Hindu Code Bill which was rejected by the-then male MPs which was a shame.

He alleged that Jena Sena chief Pawan Kalyan was defaming chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy over English medium. Reddy was trying to uplift the poor and marginalised sections in the state by introducing English medium, he added.

Mala Mahanadu state secretary B Jone Kumari, district president K Chinni, Sumamala, K Bhaskar Rao, K Ramachandraiah and others were present.
