Vijayawada: Music, dance events bag received 3 Guinness World records
Vijayawada: ER Janardhan, organiser, Tyagayya Charitable Trust and Tyagayya TV announced here that a unique conceptual programme was organised in Chennai which received three Guinness World Records at a time for three different events based on music and dance on the same day.
Janardhan, a noted mridangam artiste also said that the event was organised at Ramachandra Convention Hall in Chennai with music and dance performers to pay rich tributes to Thyagarajaswamy and for also to give more focus for the keerthanas composed by saint Thyagaraja.
In the first event 800 vocal and instrumental artistes presented 'pancharatna keerthans' composed by Saint Thagaraja at a time on one platform and received certificate from Guinness World Records.
About 1200 dancers showcased dance recital for the keerthana 'Endaro Mahanubhavulu' tuned by Thagayya and captured second Guinness World Record on the same day and at the same venue.
The third Guinness World Record certificate received for the event, choreographed and conducted by Parvathi Ravi, daughter-in-law of legendary singer Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao, with 500 classical dancers.
Annavarapu Ramaswamy, Modumudi Sudhakar, Vedantam Radhesyam, Dr S Krishna Kumar and KS Govindarajan and others were participated in this meet and complimented the organizers for getting three Guinness World Records at a time for dance and music.
