Vijayawada: No water supply in some parts of city tomorrow

Vijayawada: Drinking water supply from head water works to some areas in Ajit Singh Nagar, Payakapuram, Rajiv Nagar and other areas will be halted for one day from July 2 evening to July 3 evening due to inter connection works to be taken up by the VMC.

These works will be taken up to connect the water pipeline and the newly build 5 MGD filtration plant. In a press release on Tuesday, the VMC announced the list of areas that will be affected.

RR Pet, New RR Pet, Ajit Singh Nagar, Kedareswara Pet, Pejjonipet, Khddus Nagar, Ayodhya Nagar, Lotus pond, Ramakrishna Puram, Santinagar, Prashanti Nagar, Devi Nagar, Prakash Nagar, Rajiv Nagar, Sundaraiah Nagar, Radha Nagar, Kandrika, Vambay colony, Kandrika and Payakapuram.

Residents of these areas will not get water one day starting from July 2 evening to July 3 evening, the press release said.
