Vijayawada: Officials asked to resolve drinking water problem

Vijayawada: Minister for Transport and Information and Public Relations Perni Venkata Ramaiah alias Nani has directed the officials of the Irrigation and RWS departments to address the drinking water problem being faced by the villagers in various parts of the district. Perni Nani, along with Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao and Endowments Minister Velampalli Srinivas, attended the Zilla Parishad general body meeting at the ZP hall in Machilipatnam on Tuesday. ZP Chairperson Gadde Anuradha has presided over the general body meeting. MLAs, MLCs, ZP members and officials and staff of various departments attended the ZP meeting. Addressing on the occasion, Perni Nani said many villages in the district are facing acute shortage of drinking water and asked the officials to ensure supply of drinking water and resolve the problem.
