Vijayawada police held counseling to rowdy-sheeters, warns to mend ways

Vijayawada: The Vijayawada city police have been seriously focused on controlling crime and law and order in the city amid rise in gang wars recently. In this backdrop, on the orders of the Commissioner B Srinivasulu, the police have given counselling to the rowdy sheeters in the city. In the police station of Ajit Singh Nagar, the old criminals have been advised by CIs Lakshminarayana and Prabhakar have counseled the old rowdys and took the full details from them. As many as 47 rowdy sheaters have been given counselling at Ajith Singh Nagar police station on Sunday.

The CIs appealed the public that any old criminals resort to Anu untoward incident shall be brought to the notice of the police. The CIs said that the appropriate Legal action should be taken against those.

The police have also assured that the Rowdy sheet would be lifted if they leave all anti social elements and lead a good life. The counseling of rowdies has come after a gang war has witnessed recently wherein one killed and several injured. In this backdrop, in a major reshuffle, B Srinivasulu has been appointed as the commissioner of Vijayawada.
