Vijayawada: Politician Pawan Kalyan defends acting in films

Vijayawada: Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan criticized that the YSRCP legislators were able to run the gambling clubs effectively but failed to fulfil the needs of the people. He came down heavily on the YSRCP government on the bad condition of roads from Kankipadu to Gudivada.

On the way to Machilipatnam to submit a memorandum to the Krishna district collector seeking compensation to the farmers who incurred huge losses due to cyclone, Pawan Kalyan addressed the public at Gudivada on Monday. The party members accorded a warm welcome to him at Gudivada. They brought a giant garland with the help of a crane and handed over to Pawan Kalyan on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kalyan said, "I am going to Machilipatnam to submit a memorandum to the Collector seeking justice to the farmers who incurred losses due to Nivar cyclone. He demanded proper compensation to the farmers for the crop loss in cyclone. He said the farmers suffered huge loss due to the crop damage caused by cyclone.

Referring to the bad condition of roads near Gudivada, Pawan Kalyan said legislators must be questioned on the bad-conditioned roads. The roads between Kankipadu and Gudivada were in bad condition. People shall question the local legislators. Jana Sena Party will resist sternly, if any people's representative talks with headstrongness by resorting to aggressive behaviour.

He said that people would teach a lesson to the present government for its failure on all fronts to give good rule. "Some people are saying that how I will do politics by doing films. When you are able to do politics by running gambling clubs, can't I do politics by acting in films honestly," he questioned. "You are doing politics by running businesses of cement factories, mining companies and media organisations. Why can't I do politics by acting in films," Pawan questioned amidst cheers of his supporters.

Jana Sena Political Affairs Committee (PAC) chairman Nadendla Manohar participated in the tour. Jana Sena workers accorded a grand welcome when Pawan Kalyan entered in Pedana constituency. Farmers came on tractors and bullock-carts and raised slogans. Vedic pundits offered celestial blessings to Pawan Kalyan.

Farmers explained their woes to him. Krishna district Jana Sena leaders Booragadda Srikanth, Pothina Mahesh, Ammisetty Vasu, Akkala Gandhi and others accompanied the leader at several places during his tour.
