Vijayawada: Probe into lathi-throwing on Naidu's bus demanded
Vijayawada: TDP Legislature Party deputy leader and former Minister K Atchannaidu has demanded an impartial enquiry into the hurling of lathi on the vehicle of TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu when he toured the capital region of Amaravati three days ago.
He has made it clear that a lathi was thrown on the vehicle of Naidu and pointed out that it was not known who threw the lathi.
TDP leaders including Atchannaidu, Varla Ramaiah, Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao and others attended a party meeting organised at Kesineni Bhavan on Monday to discuss the roundtable meeting to be hosted by TDP on December 5 to discuss capital Amaravati construction works to be participated by party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu too.
Later, speaking to the media, Atchannaidu said the State government had appointed SIT to investigate into the attack on Naidu's bus as the TDP had lodged a complaint with the Union government.
He held DGP Gautam Sawang responsible for the attack on the vehicle of Chandrababu Naidu. He said the Opposition party has a right to protest the suppressive policies of the YSRCP government.
He said Assembly, Secretariat and the High Court were constructed in the capital under the TDP regime and TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu was determined to construct world-class capital but the YSRCP leaders were trying to portray that that TDP government had failed to construct the capital.
He said the TDP had invited all political parties for the roundtable to discuss on the capital issue. Senior TDP leader Varla Ramaiah questioned why Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was not giving clarity on construction of the capital.
He suggested to Municipal Administration Minister Botcha Satyanarayana and MP Vijayasai Reddy to visit capital Amaravati to see the construction works taken up during the previous rule.
