Vijayawada: RBI Director Das lauds Coastal Bank's services
Vijayawada: Subrata Das, Regional Director, RBI, Hyderabad, appreciated the services being offered by Coastal Bank to the 'Under' and 'Un-banked' rural and semi urban areas of the five districts of Andhra Pradesh. He was the chief guest of the inauguration of the Coastal Bank, Corporate Office, relocated to new premises at Grace Line, Gantasalavari Street, Gayatri Nagar.
Addressing the gathering, he emphasised on the need for a deeper financial inclusion in the rural areas which would pave the way for an organised financial sector in the country.
K Venkataraman, Chairman, Coastal Bank, said that it is the first Local Area Bank started in the country with the approval of Reserve Bank of India to raise the local resources and deploy them for economic development in the area of operation.
He appealed to the customers to transform to digital banking for better services. He assured that Coastal Bank will always rank high in its personal services with local flavour.
