Vijayawada: Rythu Bharosa centers to implement welfare schemes
Vijayawada: Agriculture Department Special Commissioner H Arun Kumar has said that the welfare schemes in the State for farmers will be implemented through Rythu Bharosa Centres in the State.
The Agriculture Department is gearing up for distribution of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and tools to the farmers during this Kharif season and all the related work would be implemented from the Rythu Bharosa centres. He addressed a workshop organized on Rythu Bharosa at Andhra Loyola College on Thursday.
Arun Kumar said digital kiosks (ATMs) will be set up at the Rytu Bharosa Centres to render services and information related to farmers needs at the Rythu Bharosa centres. One TV set will be arranged to explain the farmers on cultivation of crops, use of fertilizers, and farm mechanism. Moreover, scientists and agriculture experts will visit the Rytu Bharosa centres to explain the farmers.
District Collector Mohammad Imtiaz, Joint Collector-2 K Mohan Kumar, officials from Horticulture, Fisheries and other Departments participated in the workshop.
